A New York man was stabbed in the butt during a random attack inside a Queens deli, according to police.
A man followed the unidentified victim into the Queens deli and stabbed him in the butt five times before fleeing. The incident occurred inside the store on 63rd Road in Rego Park at about 5:45 p.m. on Sunday evening.
“It was painful, I still can’t step on my right foot,” “Tom,” the victim, told ABC’s Eyewitness News. The victim chose not to reveal his name since the attacker is still at large.
“It felt sort of like that feeling a mosquito bites you, it was fast it was five times.”
Tom, who is in stable condition, said he sensed something was wrong just seconds before the attack.
“I had a feeling, I was being watched, something like that, but I never paid attention,” Tom told Eyewitness News, adding, “I’m always friendly, don’t know why it’s happened to me.”
Police said there seems to be no motive for the attack, according to the NY Post. The incident was caught on surveillance video.
The Queens attacker is described as a black man in his 30s, standing at 6 feet 2 inches and weighing 220 pounds, NBC New York reports. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, gray sweatpants, a black hat and black sneakers.
