A South Carolina woman is facing charges for aggravated assault after she stabbed a man in the head after he asked to have sex.
38-year-old Crystal Monique Brown was arrested by Myrtle Beach Police and taken to the Myrtle Beach Jail where she was charged with assault and battery after the victim identified her.
Officers responded to the scene of the alleged assault on Nance Street Sunday morning when a relative of the victim called police.
The victim reports he had only known Brown for a few days, and had asked to have sexual intercourse with her. The report says Brown became irate at the suggestion, and walked to the victim’s kitchen.
The victim followed Brown into the kitchen because she was yelling and told her she could leave if she wanted to leave. That’s when the victim says Brown grabbed a hook blade knife she used to stab him twice on the top of the head before running from the home.
Blood was found on a chair and the floor of the victim’s kitchen. The victim was treated by EMS on scene but refused transport to the hospital.
Brown was located on Highway 501 nearly two hours after the incident and was released from jail Monday morning.
