33-year old Tiffany Ann Horner was arraigned Thursday in Wilkes-Barre Central Court in Pennsylvania on charges that she attempted to disarm a police officer investigating a disturbance on Main Street.
Horner was charged with three counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of aggravated assault, and one count each of simple assault, terroristic threats, resisting arrest and disarming a law enforcement officer.
She was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility after not being able to pay the $10,000 bail.
According to the criminal complaint:
Police investigated a disturbance outside Bobby O’s Restaurant on Main Street on May 11. Horner was located in her residence, where she taunted police, removed her clothes and defecated on the floor.
Police said Horner was stunned by a Taser when she tried to throw feces at an officer.
Paramedics were called to assist in removing the Taser contacts from Horner’s body, but were unable to because of Horner being uncooperative.
She was carried out of her residence because she refused to walk. Once outside, Horner grabbed an officer’s service weapon.
She was then secured to a litter and taken to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, where she spat at an officer and hospital employees in the emergency room, the criminal complaint says.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 30 before District Judge Andrew Barilla in Pittston.
