A Massachusetts man faces charges after he walked into Quincy’s police station to look to fight with police officers.

39-year-old Keith Hayes stepped into the station’s lobby on Thursday night and reportedly told someone that he wanted to challenge officers to a fight.

Police say that when officers came out to restrain him, Hayes threw several punches in their direction.

Hayes was pepper sprayed, handcuffed, and charged with assault and battery on an officer and resisting arrest.

Police noted that Hayes had been carrying some kind of religious plaque, but did not elaborate on whether the item had anything to do with his alleged actions.
