Police in Florida have said that they have arrested suspects accused of burglarizing a home while it was tented for fumigation.
Vicim, T.V. Sagnella of Fort Lauderdale, said that the thieves were only able to make off with his Microsoft Xbox, some jewelry and a few other items before police arrived and chased them away.
“They’re obviously not very smart to go inside a house full of poison,” Sagnella said. “I wouldn’t kill myself for an Xbox.”
Police later received word that some of the jewelry was bring sold at Lauderhill’s Swap Shop flea market and officers pulled over a vehicle containing the suspects and stolen goods.
Darrin Green, 20, and a 17-year-old boy were arrested and charged with burglary.
Demar Hylton, 19, was taken into custody on unrelated warrants, including robbery, assault on law enforcement and possession of an illegal weapon, police said.
