Police are searching for a robber who walked into a Chicago bank on Michigan Avenue, claimed to have a bomb and demanded cash.
He then left without taking the bag of cash he demanded.
Investigators from the police department’s Bomb and Arson Unit were called to check the bag, closing off a portion of Michigan Avenue and backing up traffic across the bridge for several hours.
FBI officials were on the scene investigating and speaking with witnesses, according to FBI Spokeswoman Joan Hyde.
FBI officials said there was no bomb found and no one was injured.
The man is described being between 6 feet 2 and 6 feet 3 inches tall and clean shaven. He was wearing a baseball cap and wore one blue latex glove.
He showed the teller a fake bomb in the bag, police said.
