Cops in suburban Montreal easily caught a suspected thief with his pants down early on Sunday.

Laval police responded to a 911 call around 1 a.m. and spotted a man in his twenties in an industrial park.

Police said that the suspect fled and police officers gave chase.

The man tried to climb a fence to make his escape but his pants became caught in the enclosure.

Officers arrived on the scene to find the man hanging upside down, police said.

The cops had to remove his pants to free him, but he didn’t stay free for long.

He was immediately taken into custody and faces charges of breaking and entering.
