The three British teenagers hid their faces with hoodies and scarves during a robbery, but then took photos of their uncovered faces showing off the loot.
When police were trying to find out who raided a petrol station these photographs really put them in the picture.
Three teenagers thought they committed the perfect crime by hiding their faces with hoodies and scarves as they stole cash and cigs.
But one of the armed robbers kept photos on his phone showing his uncovered face as he flaunted the loot.
Police raided the homes of the teenagers and could not believe their luck when they saw the pictures on the mobile, a court was told.
The boys – two aged 16 and one of 17 – admitted robbery and possessing an imitation firearm, and were each given 40 months’ detention.
