Indiana police report that a man drove his motorcycle inside a South Haven bar last Saturday night and asked patrons for a fight.
With no hesitation, they obliged.
Porter County sheriff’s police were called to Sportsman’s Bar just before 7pm for a large fight in progress.
When officers arrived, an employee said John Daniels, 43, of Union Township, drove his motorcycle into the bar through the opened front door and asked if anyone wanted to fight.
The man told police he and other employees asked Daniels to leave. They were trying to push his motorcycle outside when Daniels got off the bike and began fighting with employees and other patrons, police said.
Witnesses said Thomas Hines, 47, of Portage, joined in the fight and injured several people before leaving the bar, police said.
Hines told officers everyone attacked Daniels and he only intervened to help the man, police said.
Daniels was uncooperative and argumentative, police said.
Both Daniels and Hines were arrested and taken to Porter County Jail. Police said they will face battery and disorderly conduct charges.
A handful of people involved in the fight suffered cuts and bruises, police said.
