Raymond Jefferson is charged with armed robbery and aggravated kidnapping after Chicago Police say they tracked him down by using GPS equipment that was taken from the Radio Shack store.
Jefferson had stolen $17,000 in merchandise from the store.
Prosecutors say Jefferson tied up people who were at the store in the 2300-block of West 95th Street, threatened them with a gun and stole merchandise.
Officers caught up with Jefferson about two hours later.
Police found him by tracking stolen GPS equipment that Jefferson had in his possession.
