A Canadian man from suburban Quebec City is suing a restaurant for $6,000 after he says he nearly ate an earwig that was crawling in his salad.
Alexandre Roy-Langlois said that he was about to eat his salad at the chain restaurant St-Hubert Rotisserie in November when he spotted the creepy critter.
He filed a lawsuit for “moral damages,” claiming he became “sick to the stomach” at the sight of the earwig.
Roy-Langlois also claims that he has been unable to eat salads in restaurants since the alleged encounter.
“I’m very careful about what I eat,” reads his lawsuit, filed Tuesday at the Quebec City courthouse.
