Massachusetts police were left gobsmacked after they arrested two men accused of stealing the head from an ice sculpture of a dragon.

Salem police said the men, William Hare, 47, and Rajendra Srivastava, 30, were spotted walking down the street early on Sunday morning carrying the head from the sculpture.

The sculpture was part of last weekend’s So Sweet Chocolate Ice Festival, the Boston Herald reported.

“I observed the ice Rajendra was carrying to be the head of the dragon,” an officer wrote in the arrest report. “Rajendra stated he was taking it home as a souvenir.”

Police said Hare, a psychologist, told officers he was a doctor and could “do what he wanted.”

The men were charged with receiving stolen property over $250 and larceny over $250.

Hare was also charged with disorderly conduct and illegal possession of prescription pills.
