Detroit has a mobile strip club called ‘The Booty Lounge’. But it seems as though the Detroit Police do not like it much.
Detroit Police said Chief Ralph Godbee believes the mobile strip club is illegal and officers are investigating.
Godbee said he ordered the investigation after a city official complained about the bus being parked downtown during Lions games.
Police spokeswoman Eren Stephens said the bus, which is often seen operating downtown during Detroit Lions games, is being investigated on allegations of being an illegal strip club, charging $10 “donations” for entry
“We’re looking at the whole operation, not just that they’re going to every game,” Stephens said.
“Ostensibly, it’s an illegal establishment,” Godbee said. “The same thing that would regulate that type of activity in a strip club would be applicable to that vehicle. We’re going to police it very aggressively through our investigation.
“I’m appalled at this kind of conduct because we have families and children around. We need to make sure these events are fan-friendly for children and their families,” he said.
The department is also investigating photos on Facebook depicting two police officers posing with the bus, investigators said.
